Event Details

Monthly - Last Saturday of the month
Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov

LOCATION: The market is held on our working farm on Worstead Estate, with a striking Norfolk red brick barn at THE FARM in Smallburgh, NR12 9NB. This sits central to Hoveton & Wroxham, Coltishall & Horstead, Stalham & North Walsham, with more than 70,000 locals. Traffic swells to much more in the holiday season, located between the Broads National Park and the sandy beaches of East North Norfolk. Located on the junction where the A149 meets the A1151, and just off the Church Road "rat-run", we have great roadside exposure. SITE: Over 30 covered stall pitches and power for up to 16 stalls, with plenty of outside space on concrete to grow the market into. Public parking is up to 4 acres, for over 400 cars at any one time. Separate parking for stallholders is available (on concrete and close to stalls). Dedicated FREE Tea & Coffee station and toilet facilities for stallholders, with new toilet facilities opening soon to remove the requirement for portaloos for the public. Recent investment has gone into creating a better experience for stallholders and the public alike. Livestock paddocks have been installed for the very photogenic Highland cattle and Norfolk Horn sheep to add a real farm experience, with the enclosure of the cartshed to battle inclement weather. PITCHES: Care is taken in the selection and allocation of stalls to balance variety and competition in the interests of the public and stallholders. Requests, suggestions and recommendations from stallholders are welcome, but may not always be achievable. We are a Farmers Market and look to strike the correct balance for Food & Drink with Arts & Crafts. The find that the public who attend are here to spend, rather than browse, just for something free to do. STALLHOLDERS: A fine group of local Norfolk & Suffolk stallholders attend regularly, with a growing amount of interest from stallholders and the public alike. Getting to know our stallholders is very much encouraged, and they’d be delighted to share with you what goes into producing their goods on offer.
