Weird is Wonderful Markets Bring Colour and Creativity to the Hunter Valley Nulkaba, NSW – The Hunter Valley has embraced something a little different, with the Weird is Wonderful Markets now established as a much-loved monthly event. Held 11am–3pm on the third Sunday of each month at The Valley Brewhouse, Wine Country Drive, Nulkaba (entry via Flemming Street), the markets have quickly become a highlight on the region’s community calendar. From artisan goods and handcrafted treasures to quirky finds and unique stalls, the markets celebrate creativity in all its forms. Visitors can expect a lively, family-friendly atmosphere that keeps people coming back month after month. The Valley Brewhouse provides the perfect setting, with a range of facilities and attractions to make it a full-day experience, including: Bistro, bar, sports lounge & smokehouse serving local favourites from 11am until late. Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of space to unwind. Live music , extending the vibe beyond the markets. Kids’ playground and open spaces for family fun. On-site accommodation and wedding venue for those wanting to stay longer. Pet-friendly grounds, ensuring the whole family can attend. Organisers say the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive.
