A series of free, all-ages summer AND holiday markets held monthly in the heart of Calgary’s newest shopping hotspot, University District. Running from May to September with holiday editions in November and December, this free, family-friendly event draws thousands of shoppers to one of northwest Calgary’s ONLY night markets. With 50+ carefully curated, local vendors, this year’s markets, held in the lovely Central Commons Park, will be bigger and better than ever as we introduce the new UD Lawn Games and Picnic Area designed to encourage guests to enjoy the space — and shop — for longer. In the spring and summer, join us for fun-filled evenings featuring: Calgary’s top live music acts, roaming performers, kids’ entertainment, fire pits, public barbecues, a seasonal splash park and, of course, incredible shopping! During the U/D Night Market - Holiday Edition, our stunning lights, decor, and delightful outdoor ice skating rink will have guests feeling festive, and in the mood for gift-buying, as they soak in the seasonal atmosphere. Now's the time to reserve your space at these incredible markets! With a top-rate marketing campaign launching soon, you’ll definitely want to be part of this action. We prioritise local makers, artists, and small businesses offering handmade, original, or small-batch products. Vendor selection is based on product quality, overall fit, and maintaining a balanced vendor mix. 2026 Spring/Summer Market Dates May 27 June 24 July 29 August 26 September 23 (featuring SuperDogs) 2026 Holiday Edition Market Dates November 26 December 3 Time 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Vendor Requirements -Bookings are not confirmed until full payment is received. -All vendors are required to bring a 10' x 10' tent. This is mandatory. -Each tent must be secured with a minimum of 40 lbs of weight per leg (4 weights total). -Vendors are responsible for providing all of their own equipment, including tables, chairs, signage, and display materials. -Food trucks are not permitted.
