Le Makete translates to ‘The Market’ which is a vibrant community market created to celebrate and uplift Pasifika culture, food and small businesses. The event brings together local Pacific Island food vendors, retail stalls and creatives in one space where the community can gather, eat, shop and connect. Built on the idea of collaboration over competition, Le Makete was created to provide a platform for Pasifika entrepreneurs to showcase their talents while creating a welcoming environment for families and the wider community to experience the flavours, culture and spirit of the Pacific.
