About this market
The Sale Show is one of Gippsland’s premier agricultural events, attracting more than 13,000 competitors, exhibitors, visitors and spectators across three exciting days each year. The 2026 Sale Show will be held from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, with equestrian events (only) taking place on Sunday. Presented by the Sale and District Agricultural Society (SADAS), the Show is a not-for-profit community event dedicated to celebrating agriculture, regional living and local achievement in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Organised by a passionate team of volunteers, the Society works throughout the year to deliver a high-quality event that showcases the best of the region while supporting local community groups and other not-for-profit organisations that contribute to the Show’s success. The Sale Show features a diverse range of competitions and displays, attracting participants from across Victoria. Traditional agricultural and lifestyle sections include equestrian, beef cattle, dairy cattle, poultry, wool, floral art, vegetables, arts, crafts and cookery. A key focus of the Show is providing entertainment and experiences for all ages. The popular Friday night carnival draws large crowds with exciting attractions and concludes with a spectacular fireworks display. Throughout Friday and Saturday, the Kids Zone offers family favourites including a petting zoo, clown performances and the much-loved pet parade, making it a highlight for school groups and families alike. A wide variety of amusement rides, provided by the Showmen’s Guild of Victoria, adds to the festive atmosphere and excitement of the event each year. The Sale Show continues to be a celebration of community, agriculture and country life, bringing together people from across Gippsland and beyond for a memorable annual event.
